1. Always Wear Sunscreen

Apply sunscreen every day, even if it is cloudy, cold, or snowy. This is because the UVA/UVB rays can still damage your skin.

Sun damage can cause your skin to age prematurely, and in very extreme cases can lead to skin cancer, and other skin conditions.

Use SPF 30 or higher and, if possible, use a sunscreen which doubles up as a moisturizer. This will make your sunscreen application easy to remember.

2. Cut Down On the Junk

‘Junk’ refers to a variety of things, including alcohol, unhealthy foods, cigarettes and all the other trash you mindlessly consume.

Putting a stop on consumption of fast food such as french fries, burgers, soda and other deep-fried, sugary items will make a huge difference in your overall appearance and health.
Also, it is best to cut down on alcohol, excess sugar, and smoking as they are not only dangerous for your vital organs, but, these are also factors which lead to other problems which will evidently show in your appearance.

Therefore, cut these all out and maintain a good balance between fast food and healthy food.

3. Exfoliate

Never scrub too hard, as this will leave your skin feeling irritated. If you do not have an exfoliator, you can add granulated sugar to your cleanser, and then scrub gently to get smooth skin.

4. Have a Healthy Diet

Studies reported a direct connection between the condition of your skin and the food you consume.

Vegetable oils, oily marine fish, nuts and seeds are among the most important foods. These foods are good sources of fatty acids, vitamin E, and carotenes, which are the main defense in fighting against free radicals. Also, dairy products should be included in your diet because they are the key to healthy microflora.

5. Get Enough Sleep

A good night’s sleep goes well with how you look and feel. It is important because your body repairs itself while you sleep.

Your body needs to charge itself. and 6-8 hours of quality sleep is important for you to wake up looking and feeling great. By doing this, you will have a radiant complexion, those dark circles under your eyes will be reduce and you will slow down the aging process.

6. Regular Exercise

Physical activity is very important, for your mental and physical health. Whatever you like, running, going to the gym, doing yoga or going swimming.

It is proven that exercise benefits your skin, and helps improve your mood. A minimum of 3 hours of physical activity weekly will result in improvement of your health.

Exercising regularly improves your blood circulation, increases the amount of oxygen delivered to your skin, helps get rid of toxins, provides a boost of endorphins that reduce stress and calm your entire body, including your skin.
