4. Rub using small circular motions over your cheeks, forehead, chin, nose crevices, and even the lips. But, avoid the eye area.
5. Gently exfoliate for at least 2-3 minutes, then rise using warm water, or until there is no granulation on your face.
6. Pat face dry using a clean towel.

7 Amazing Ways to Use Coconut Oil in Your Beauty Routine

7 Amazing Ways to Use Coconut Oil in Your Beauty Routine

Coconut oil is known as a beauty cure-all! This beauty staple contains a long shelf life, plus a number of health benefits.

It’s a jack-of-all-trades and people have been using this as makeup cleaner, breath freshener, face mask, lip scrub, and more. You can use it for almost everything from healing scars, and then moisturizing dry knees.

Coconut oil contains as many beauty benefits as it does health!

Beauty Benefits of Coconut Oil:

1. Body Moisturizer

Coconut oil is one great and effective way to moisturize your skin. After taking a shower, apply a thin layer of coconut oil to lock the moisture in. Plus, you will smell like coconuts!

2. Breath Freshener

Are you familiar with oil pulling? Turns out, swishing coconut oil in your mouth can pull the toxicity out of your mouth. You just have to swirl it around your mouth for 10-20 minutes until it turns a milky white color, then spit it out, and rinse using water.

Does this sounds like a gross way to spend 15 minutes? Then, you’d be surprised, it becomes routine quickly, and can even feel relaxing and meditative.

3. Clean Your Face

There’s nothing quite close to a spa, as a double cleanse. Recreate that feeling in the comfort of your home with the help of some coconut oil.

Massage the oil into your neck and face, then remove using your favourite cleanser. If you still find some stubborn bit of mascara hard, apply a little coconut oil on a cotton ball, then gently sweep it over your lashes.

4. Conditioner

Whether applied heated up or at room temperature as a thicker paste, letting your hair soak in coconut oil for at least a few hours will deep condition your hair. This will make it look and feel way healthier. This is because coconut oil is rich in vitamin K, vitamin E, and iron.

5. Face Mask

Looking for a quick face mask for that night? Mix 1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of honey. Leave on for 15-20 minutes.

Make sure that your face is clean and dry, and apply the mask. Wait for about 10 minutes and remove it all using a warm washcloth.

6. Lip Balm

Coconut oil is the perfect remedy for chapped lips, most especially because it is semisolid at room temperature.

Store some coconut oil in a miniature jar, and apply over your lips throughout the day.

7. Makeup Remover

Even the resistant waterproof mascara does not have a chance against coconut oil. You can apply it directly to your face as an oil cleanser, or let it sit on your skin with a cotton pad. Makeup will melt away.

How to Get Glass Skin in 5 Easy Steps

How to Get Glass Skin in 5 Easy Steps

There’s a new skingoal in town, so move-over baby skin! We are talking about a complexion that is so translucent, so smooth, and so clear that it looks like, well, a pane of glass.

It’s called, you guessed it! Glass skin, and it is your ticket to an ultra-glossy, super smooth, reflective-like finish.

So how do you make it happen in real life? You will need to continually disintegrate dead skin cells and always keep skin hydrated. Here’s how:

1. Double Cleanse

You will not achieve glass skin by haphazardly swiping a cleansing cloth over your face during the end of the day. For a poreless complexion, you have to dissolve every traces of dirt, makeup, oil, pollutants and sweat, before calling it a night.

Also, most regular cleansers will not cut it either, especially if you are dealing with a long-wearing or heavy-duty sunscreen formulas.

2. Apply a Toner

You must always use a natural and hydrating toner for your skin. Before going to sleep, make sure that you have washed your face thoroughly and apply a toner.

3. Essence

Essense contains active ingredients that helps in hydrating your skin deeper, increasing your skin’s natural cell turnover, and in enhancing your skin’s absorption of nutrients from products you put onto your skin afterwards.

4. Moisturiser is Important

There would be no glass skin without the use of a good moisturizer!

Remember that your skin is always changing, with product combinations, seasons, time of the month, and with age. Therefore, moisturizers will naturally change too.

Make sure to examine if your moisturizer is doing its job well, otherwise it is time to ditch the old, and in with a new one.

5. Protect with SPF

The most important step is using sunscreen. Protect it, seal it, and use sunscreen on it, because it is the biggest reason for wrinkles. Not using sunscreen can cause wrinkles to form early, even if you are young.

Between defective products and bacteria, the content in your makeup bag has a lifespan, which, if ignored, can lead to skin problems and breakouts.

Today, we are showing you how to maximise your makeup products by extending its lifespan in 5 ways.

Applying on top of wet foundation or using dirty brushes can your blush to go bad. If your cream or powder blush becomes chalky and hard, it is time for a replacement.

How to clean it: To prolong your powder blush, you can use a clean brush and allow the foundation to set for a few minutes. When doing this, you are not transferring oils onto your blush, which can encourage the growth of bacteria and cause the blush to harden. Unfortunately, there is no Rx for creams.

2. Lipstick

Expiration Date: Lipstick or gloss can both last about 1 in your makeup case, therefore, feel free to apply and re-apply as much as you want.

Signs you need to replace it: Watch out for signs that your lipstick is getting old, including strange smell, poor application texture, or an oily film at the top of the stick.

Signs you need to replace it: Make your lipstick last longer by keeping it out of humid and hot humid areas. The excess moisture can cause its pigments to break down. Storing it in a fridge is a great place to keep it during humid summers.

3. Foundation

Expiration Date: 6 months to 1 year

Signs you need to replace it: Once your foundation smell, starts to separate, or change color, it should be replaced for the sake of your skin.

How to clean it: Foundation is another product that cannot be cleaned. To preserve its shelf life, use only clean brushes or sponges as applicators.

Signs you need to replace it: If your mascara clumps, flakes, dries out, or smells, then, it’s time to throw it.

How to clean it: There is no way to preserve or clean your mascara, therefore, your best bet is to just replace it. “These days, there are many amazing drugstore brand mascaras, and therefore, you can afford to buy them more often,” according to Gita Bass, celebrity makeup artist and Advisory Board member of Simple Skincare.

5. Nail Polish

Expiration Date: Nail polishes can last for at least more than 1 year. These polishes are not bacteria hotbeds, but you will get less wear, once the formula starts to smell funny or separate.

It is best to throw the nail polish, once it starts to go bad. There are many budget brands that give you wear and color on the cheap, therefore, you need not hold onto bad polish.

How to clean it: Nail polish that is going to go stale, usually gets thick and difficult to spread over your nails.
