How to Use Banana Peel to Treat Acne

There are many different acne treatments available, but, most of them are quite expensive, while others may have unwanted side effects.

Did you know that you can use banana peels to treat acne? Instead of throwing away the banana peel, you might want to use it as a natural acne-treatment. Here’s how:

Banana Peel for Acne:

1. Rub Banana Peel

Banana peel helps to boost your skin’s health with its antioxidant and fatty acid content. It helps soothes your skin and get rid of redness, so it can heal from a breakout faster. Also, it helps prevent future breakouts.

1. Wash your face using a cleanser, then pat dry.
2. Massage your face using the banana peel. Do this with the inside of the peel on your skin, for at least 10 minutes.
3. If the piece turns brown, use a fresh piece.
4. Wait for about 20 minutes, then rinse your face.
5. Do this at least once daily.

2. Banana Peel with Honey for Acne

Honey is an anti-bacterial and helps to naturally moisturize your skin.

1. Mash a banana peel into paste.
2. Combine 1 tablespoon banana peel paste and 1/2 tablespoon raw honey.
3. Massage the paste onto the affected skin using circular motions with cotton ball.
4. Leave on for 15 minutes.
5. Rinse using lukewarm water.
6. Apply an oil-free moisturizer.
7. Do this everyday.

3. Turmeric and Banana Peel for Acne

Turmeric contains excellent anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. When combined with banana peel, it helps to reduce swelling and fights-off acne-causing bacteria that may be present in your skin.

1 tbsp Mashed banana peel
1 tbsp turmeric
Oil-free moisturizer

1. Mix the ingredients until you get a smooth paste.
2. Apply the mixture onto your face, and gently massage your skin using circular motions.
3. Do this for approximately 15 minutes.
4. Wash your face with warm water, then pat dry.
5. Apply moisturizer.
